Guidelines
- DO: Use good etiquette
- DO: Use good spelling and grammar
- DO: Double check where you are sending your letter/postcard
- DON’T: Threaten
Don’t make the lives of the people reading your letters/postcards any harder than it has to be. They already have to sit day in and day out reading hate mail and glitter filled love letters. Please be polite even though you have strong feeling towards the cause. The best thing to do is tell them you appreciate them for airing the show and tell them why they should continue airing the show.
Poor spelling and grammar looks unprofessional, so make sure to proof read your letter/postcard. We do not want to give them the wrong impression, and please I can not stress this enough do not TyPe lIkE ThIs.
Once you are done writing your email or letter/postcard, please make sure you are sending it to the correct address and name.
Even though your feel strongly about saving this show, do not threaten the network by telling them that you will never watch their network again if they cancel South of Nowhere. That will do absolutely nothing for saving it. Seriously, we’re not kidding about the threatening, we are running a professional campaign and we want them to take us seriously. And please don’t harass the advertisers, that only works if we have millions of people, we don’t, yet. So let’s just leave them out of this for now, ok? Thanks.
Now these are the people we suggest you write:
Sarah Tomassi Lindman
General Manager, The N
1515 Broadway
New York, NY 10036
Cyma Zarghami,
President, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group
1515 Broadway
New York, NY 10036
Marjorie Cohn,
EVP Development and Original Programming
1515 Broadway
New York, NY 10036
So write and write often, at least once a week. We want our voices to be heard and we want them to see that South of Nowhere has a following any network would love to build on. And please, again, be respectful.
